FORM:
Shillington Graduate Showcase System

  • Every three months, multiple classes graduated from Shillington — each one known as a cohort. To mark the occasion and celebrate a new wave of emerging designers, every cohort needed its own unique branding. But creating something original each time was time-consuming, especially when time was already tight.

The challenge: how do we keep the branding feeling fresh and distinctive, while making the process faster and more sustainable?

  • By designing a flexible system of components in Figma, I was able to bring in a plugin I’d been waiting for the right moment to use — Variants Randomiser.

With it, I could instantly shuffle combinations of 1200 variants that were the building blocks of the design. Paired with a dynamic colour system, it unlocked what felt like infinite visual options with just a few clicks. The result: fresh, unique branding for every cohort, delivered fast, sustainably, and without burning out the design team.
